Gigs (concerts for the mature) for 2017

Post by Vonlipvig » Thu Feb 09, 2017 3:13 pm

Thought it would be interesting to see what gigs people will be heading to, if any, this year!

So far I have Sum 41, Elbow, Iron Maiden and Thrice all lined up. Three of those are in London so will be taking the Z up to Surrey then jumping on the train the rest of the way. Hopefully the weather will hold out for passing the piggies on the 303

Just done the last date of the Black Sabbath (The End) tour in Birmingham and seeing Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall in May.

That's it for now but no doubt there will be others

I was also at the last Black Sabbath show on Saturday, Ozzy and the boys put on a hell of a show!

Next up is Iron Maiden and Kiss in May, and Guns N' Roses in June. Just waiting for Metallica to announce their UK shows!

Went there in 2011, so good! Keeps clashing with Hellfest, ideally like to do both

Sabbath would have been great, lucky man! What night are you seeing Maiden? I'm heading up to the o2 for the 28th May

We are going to something a bit different in March, its Cirque du Soleil at the Hydro in Glasgow.
Looking forward to it, saw one of their performances on tv and fancied seeing it live. :)

Seen them twice already and doing the third time soon. Always impressive shows

Bit off the wall is Royal Albert Hall for Phil Collins in July. Not my choice, nor was the £800 for the 2 tickets...
Jaguar F-Type 3.0 Supercharged V6 S, Stratus Grey, LSD, Active Exhaust, CF wheels, Performance brakes, Sports seats and mods ongoing
Gone but not forgotten Z4 3.0i SE Roadster ///M front, Red ///M leather seats, Aero sills

Was going to see Amy McDonald at Manchester but had to cancel it. Iron Maiden would be brilliant, I'd go if at all possible, awesome live show.

Another time hopefully. :(

Seems the price to avoid a divorce as I failed to take her to his previous 'final' concert. This is my ticket to a happy life or perpetual nagging, possibly even the old 'nothing's wrong' face for a month

Similar tickets are now £990 each so I should count myself lucky...

Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman at Manchester in March will be my first gig of the year. I've seen Yes several times over the years so I'm really looking forward to this. Also seeing Deep Purple in November. :D
