Need a new pressure washer - Recommendations?
Ok,
So after reading a thread on here last year, I went for one of these Nilfisk one's with integrated hose reel
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nilfisk-140-3- ... ag=z4fo-21
Bought it in April, and prob used it a couple of dozen times. Was happy with it, but noticed last few times, that there was a delay between pulling the trigger and the pump kicking in, water pressure was fine etc. Anyway, the last time I used it, this delay was about 5 sec and annoying. Gets it out yesterday to wash the Zed, and nothing... Checked fuse and water pressure etc, all ok. Decides to make the dreaded phonecall to Amazon, and surprisingly, no problems at all, possibly because I have Prime? Anyway, she arranged for a free replacement to arrive today, and the old one to be collected Wed, as I would use the packaging from new one etc..
Arrived at the shop this morning, so brought it home, unpacked it and somehow managed to shoehorn the old one back in the box before taping it up..
Repeats the process of setting it up, getting the Zed out etc, turns it on and it pops the fuse FFS... Replaced and tried again, from the humming noise, it sounds like the motor is trying to turn, and maybe the pump has seized in storage... Cue phonecall No2 to Amazon, so they are now collecting TWO of them tomorrow, and will refund once received..
So, recommendations anyone? The Nilfisk was £269. Not really looking to spend much more, if any. Gonna be a PITA getting a different attachment adaptor for my snow foam lance too! Needs to have decent hose length, and also hose reel on the washer.

I got my son the Karcher £50 job, which works remarkably well. Cheaper to have 5 of those ...
I have an old Karcher Prof when they were still solid brass components, so had that for 25 years now without any issues. But no point buying an expensive Karcher as even the top levels are still nowhere near as good as the old ones.

If you want all the patio cleaning stuff, go for this £60 beauty:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/K%C3%A4rcher-C ... ds=karcher
Seriously, you are wasting your money with "quality" items that are no longer quality. If mine would go, I would just buy the cheap ones that have the same pressure rating anyway and work fine as long as they do.
2 year warranty with it, so with Amazon - just collect and get another one, even if the price has gone up they just swap it.

Yup, think that's what I'll do, and buy a 10m centre-fed hose reel.. Hmm, I wonder if there's a cheap and cheerful Nilfisk, so I don't have to swap my snow foam lance end (Oeeerr!)pvr wrote:If you want all the patio cleaning stuff, go for this £60 beauty:

I bought this....
http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk ... her-375625
Fantastic bit of kit. On my 4th karcher in 30 years so not bad going but the last one, a k5 I think, was rubbish. Only kept it a year before selling it on.
