I'm set to travel to Buxton Derbyshire from Somerset on Wed 1st Dec for a funeral, they forecast snow and -6 to -11 deg in Buxton Tue/Wed.
I can guess what the M5/M6 will be like but don't know the last part of the journey through the Peak District so would appreciate any local knowledge on the likely chances of making the journey? (not in the Zed I hasten to add!)

The forecast that far ahead is bound to change every day.
It might be covered in snow, or it might be perfectly clear...but although you can get most of the way on treated roads the final few miles may be the issue.
If you've got a set of winter tyres then I'd fit them, otherwise you'll have to take your chances.
There is a member on here who lives in High Peak...which is quite close, but higher up in the hills.

Make it 12 degrees+, it rarely gets below freezing in Dec.
I'm taking bets BTW
