SOLD: Back box bypass/delete - 3.0Si - Photos
Following some very kind help from Machine Monkey I now have a back box delete pipe, tips and clamps for a 3.0Si.
Ready to go straight on. I'll get some photos up tomorrow.
Pro: Sounds good around town and pops and crackles during a blast. If it was a weekend car I'd have kept it on.
Cons: Drone on the motorway and as I'm using it to commute I have swapped back to the original.
Looking for £60 posted.
I'm in Winchester if anyone wants to collect.
Thanks.
Fred.

Also might be interested and I'm local too, Romsey way. Pictures please. Do you need to cut the pipes to put this on?

Yeah. Need to cut the pipes. Not sure of the technical term but the new pipes slide on and use the clamps supplied to tighten it on. It uses the same rubber mounts as the OEM exhaust.Roundozo wrote:Also might be interested and I'm local too, Romsey way. Pictures please. Do you need to cut the pipes to put this on?
I'll get some photos up tomorrow which should help in my explanation.

If Buckz doesn't take it then I probably will. Need to wait until pay day though if that's ok.

I will add my opinion on this.
It did sound really good.
Easy to fit yourself if you have axle stands a bit of knowledge and an angle grinder reciprocating saw.
Build quality was very good
And it fits straight into the factory exhaust mounts.
You will just have to be carful cutting in the right place. And have some exhaust paste.

Will this fit a 2.2 on a 2003 plate?...guessing the pipes should all be the same?
Cheers

Is it tight, or can the pipes be cut with a exhaust cutter?Machine monkey wrote:should do i am fairly sure the diameter of the the exhaust pipe on all facelift 6 cylinder cars is the same.

The exhaust on the z4 is stainless steel so may take more cutting than a normal steel system.
Its not really the length or cutting it i was referring to. But the diameter. witch i believe is the same on all z4s apart from the 2.0. witch might be the same diameter but only has 1 pipe.

well if we think it will fit then I'll have it, as been looking at getting done in next couple of weeks anyway, so would make it easier if its a straight fit on...unless anybody else on here can say otherwise?Machine monkey wrote:should do i am fairly sure the diameter of the the exhaust pipe on all facelift 6 cylinder cars is the same.
could you PM me to sort it out please.....
