I understand your rant, but the cover clearly has tyre muck on it and yet more clearly is washable. For the sake of a washing tab, one hour cycle and some air drying time, I'd disagree this is a case of OCD (something I too suffer from).stevespg wrote:morning Beedub - if that comment was aimed at me, you are in no position to make it as we have never spoken. Perhaps if you had met me before making derogatory comments, you would have appreciated that I can be rather OCD, and that it would indeed bother me if my car cover was not pristine.Beedub wrote: If that dirt puts you off, you was never interested in the first place.
OP - good luck with the sale. Apologies for the minor rant, but i do hate opinions being expressed based on nil knowledge.

LOOOOL derogatory comments?? the sensitivity from some of us MEN is worrying. the comment was aimed at everyone.... basically pointing out it can be washed and it will look new again. this isn't OCD this is time wasting...

OP said it may wash - my choice to decline the sale as i'd rather a new non branded cover.
you chose to have a pop - and continue with that in subsequent posts. I'm glad you're comfortable with poking fun at folk you've never met..
I'm up for a laugh, but I wouldn't make personal comment - you clearly dont have that sensibility.

Steve, sorry, but you've responded to a for sale thread for a used, branded cover... Beedubs' comment stands.stevespg wrote:OP said it may wash - my choice to decline the sale as i'd rather a new non branded cover.
Anyway, let's leave this.

I know exactly what the thread was for, Beedubs comment related to my intent, which is not based on any information other than his uninformed opinion... which is meaningless
As I said, good luck with your sale, but when presented with a clearer picture of the item, which may or may not clean, I'd rather purchase an unbranded new one than a used one. That's my preference,

Gents,
Didn't think my "cover for sale" thread would have escalated into a fight so quickly !!! lol
My tupence worth:
I probably should have posted a full set of pictures in my initial post however as it was a 2nd hand cover I'd have expected any buyers to take this into account re: condition. As there were no rips, tears or any other damage that would have rendered the cover useless I guess I was being lazy and just used some images I have taken of the cover a while back.
I posted the additional pictures as stevespg used the phrase "perfect condition" and I wanted to avoid any disappointment from a potential buyer. I totally respect someone choice to take their money elsewhere.
Saying that, as Beedub pointed out these are very well made covers, fit like a glove and would be my 1st choice over a 'custom' cover elsewhere.
In the end I'm happy it's on its way to a new home and the funds raised in the sale have already gone towards a Porsche OEM cover for my new Boxster (blasphemy I know !)
