Wanted: OEM BMW Z4 strut bar (51710305114)
Unfortunately BMW is no longer selling/producing the Z4 strut bar (51710305114). I've placed orders with 20 re-sellers, but all of them have cancelled the order and provided me a refund.
Anyone still has one lying around / willing to sell a used part? I understand they come at a premium these day - I'd be happy to cover that.

MOT in Belgium is super strict. I prefer the OEM solution over aftermarket, but will go for aftermarket if I really can't find an original one in 1-2 months.

It's for my Z4M indeed. I tested an E46 M3 version and it didn't fit. One one side the bolts were perfectly aligned, on the other side they were 0,5cm off.M1ghty_m0use wrote:

I have indeed seen posts from people whom fitted an E46 M3 version and I'm wondering why this doens't work for my car. One reason could be that I'm running max negative camber (camber pin removed) - which might be beyond the tolerance of the M3 bar.
@srhutch @JAD @beedup @LeeZ4MR which version did you guys install?

Sorry can't help you on that on one , Agreed it was a tight fit with the bolts aligning, but fitted good, as the chassis are the same don't know why yours didn't don't see how the adjusted camber could effect the chassis moulding, if that makes sence

With the chassis being the same for both I can't understand why it wouldn't fit.

I always liked this one. Too far out of my budget range tho! Probably overkill with all those brace sections as well!

Mine was from an E46, just shaved the top off my camber pins, so std geo.jpeeters wrote:It's for my Z4M indeed. I tested an E46 M3 version and it didn't fit. One one side the bolts were perfectly aligned, on the other side they were 0,5cm off.M1ghty_m0use wrote:

Could you not make the slot longer in the bar and shorten slightly if required.

I loosened the bolts on the bar but it didn't work. I'm pretty sure it would have fitted with standard camber. Max camber with camber pin still mounted would be fine as well I'd think. Max camber without pin unfortunately not.srhutch wrote: Mine was from an E46, just shaved the top off my camber pins, so std geo.

I've also test fitted a Z4M one from a friend - and that one is fitting perfectly even with max camber. Unfortunately he's not willing to sell

I fitted an OEM E46 M3 brace - fits just fine, finishes off the engine bay too, in my opinion.jpeeters wrote:It's for my Z4M indeed. I tested an E46 M3 version and it didn't fit. One one side the bolts were perfectly aligned, on the other side they were 0,5cm off.M1ghty_m0use wrote:

Can you comment on the amount of negative camber you've applied? Looks like it's ok as long as you keep within camber pin limits.JAD wrote:
