Been watching for the last 2-3 months most cars are still up for sale. Lots of privates asking as much as dealers too with no warranties.

Def gave mine away wish I'd hung on to it.
Where would your car sit in the current market Tom ?
Granted it was a terrific example but then so are many of the ones currently for sale
Do you think it would sell for more or less than you achieved ?

I am a perfectionist tho and what some may think are good I would disagree with. Most I have seen for sale IMO need work doing to them and are relatively low spec and high milage and with them touching 80k there needs to be some money spent to assure your investment which as you know with it being one of the considerations when selling your own M.

A few are up for sale through dealers with cosmetic issues one is for sale which looks ok 20k 50k but the first image has a xenon completely saturated. Others have badly warn seats and steering wheels lots of stone chips etc and they aren't cheap they are all expensive.

Spec doesn't seem to mean much with current prices.

I wouldn't say mine is worth huge money in the market it was a 56 fully speced apart from cruise and extended leather with 62k and sold it for 14.5k 2 years ago so would probably have 80 on it now if it were in my care. I needed it shifting tho as I left for SA about a week later was a last min decision as I didn't have anywhere to store it.

Saying that there is a private one for sale with over 100k for over 15k.

I just mean it's hard to find another in as good condition without parting with 22-25k. I just don't see it as a good value propersition. I would say there is plenty of manover with these prices non seem to be shifting and I'm sure they would be glad to see them go.

This is one of about 10 on AT that's been up since early this year.

Yea agree with all of that Tom , getting a car 100% as you desire can be expensive :? while buying one ready done is virtually impossible even with a decent budget

Hi guys, i am marco from Italy, very nice to meet you.... Here in italy it's not easy to find a Z4M coupè. Prices are very high and you can find something only over 35.000 Euro. Are there any Z4M coupè or roadster for sale, with LHD at prices around 20-25.000 euro?
thanks a lot
Marco

Marco, with or without brexit brits generally do not care much for any other market than the UK market, so even talking LHD cars is for deaf ears. :)

For you, I would as always look into Mobile.de and autoscout24.com.

What's the view....will the Z4MC will appreciate to Z3MC levels in the next 5 years? Could the Z4 trade for £35k+ If so, will folk garage queen your cars and bank on it as an investment....or will they never really hit those heights?

I made a pretty poor move in 2009 selling my CSL for £25k, so would ideally not like to miss the next M to move upwards in price... :headbang:

You can't worry about this stuff as it ruins enjoyment of the car. I sold my Z3MC in 2013 So I know your pain!

Yup, I sold my air-cooled 911 Coupe some time back, it would have been worth well over double what I sold it for. :(

ditto  paid £10k for 1993 K plate C2 on 118k , spent £1200 on it then sold for £12500 after a year thinking id won out :(
wasn't long after the 964s went north mighty fast & doubt £23k would buy the car now ? 993s must be up £7k/£10k on top :o can't remember the last time I saw either out on the roads :? Think folks are sitting tight on them scared of adding miles which is a shame

You can still buy M coupes under £12-13k and low mileage examples under £20k..

They have been at this level for years, the big money examples are very late concourse cars with super low miles..

So with the M coupe being around 20 years of age now, if you project the Z4M pricing forward you should expect £20k ish for a 60,000 mile example in 2025

Just noticed that the Interlagos Blue Z4M Roadster I was going to buy last year is back up for sale: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4M-ROADS ... Swu1VW4FlS

Very good value for money for the mileage, especially with the KW clubsports and AP front calipers, IF the engine has been properly sorted now. A car I had tried to buy for some weeks with various barriers to me viewing it, the 'slight tapping noise' was actually a loud knocking and required bottom end work at least (I have a video of the noise). The work was being done by a friend of the seller who was a technician at a main dealer. Disappointed to have driven all the way to Kent for a wasted journey.
Up for sale at a dealer now for more money: £17990 :?
