im really pleased with my top, im definatly leaving it BSM, it looks really unique, really pleased with her....i havent driven the car with the top on as its in the garage getting my winter parts stock installed, i can however see its made from substantial metal tubing... so technically with this inplace the roofless section is "braced" it really should make a difference especially on a car as stiffly sprung as yours!! Really glad to see your car come on so much and love the different approach!! i see 100% why you went with a n/a screamer!! edit ;The prob im having with the hardtop is i hate having to rely on other people to take it on and off.....

in terms of my car, its currently under-going some serious surgery, Kw-Competitions, uprated engine and transmission mounts.... and the small matter of meth injection... once the meth/water injection is dialled in ill easily be knocking on the door of 540-ish HP....... i still need to change the post cat 02 sensors as one of them went bad...... the hardtop really adds to the car tbh and i love the look of it with the top on.... i also love the bi-colour black and silver look, really looks cool!! im going to play on the theme alittle and paint the door mirrors and centre of the bumper black sapphire metallic to really stand out from the crowd.....

i know your getting an m3 but please dont sell the zed..... really looking forward to seeing what you do next and think we need to concentrate on loosing some weight out of this car!!
remember a BBK saves a good chunk of unsprunt weight as well ;-) but ultimately we Really need to drop the seats, the only issue i have is the airbag light..... as from now on an illuminaed light on the dash is an instant mot fail..... As soon as someone has a proper solution to all the electric gubbins that need to be addressed when going to an after market seat im IN!!!

any more pics of your car with the hardtop installed!!! looks so cool!! i defo get the feeling your not to sure about the colour however! i guess ill be flying the bi-colour flag!!

Oh never gonna sell my little Z4M CSL,lol. Have to cut of my arm before that happens. The Z4M (Roadster/Coup) is such a lovely looking car. I want to have both (M3 e92) and enjoy the variation in having something razor sharp, and a bit-of-a GT (M3 e92).

Also I'm sure CA-Auto tuner could sort the Airbag light problem you have, give them a call as they may be able to sort it.

I do like the hard top in black, and have being changing my mind over the Black/red thing, however I decided on red as I want the hardtop to blend in with the car more. It should be ready this coming Wednesday morning so I'll take some pics and post on here. Also should have those little AC-Sch Rear wings on too.

I did investigate about a NOS kit, but it only lasts for 20-30 seconds a bottle. What's your thoughts?

Its also nice to see what you have done to your car too. Your car will be transformed with your handle changes. I do recommend Ground Control Anti-Roll bars as they defy the laws of physics, as there is no body roll, amazing part but very expensive.

No disrespect to the Z4M but I was never that impressed with the standard handling, too bouncy and the traction like came on to much. That's why I paid a lot attention to handling and grip. Its great having more power but you need to be able get it down.

I must say its been a great hobby tuning the car over the past 2 years, really good fun. Its nice been in the Mags too, looking forward to next weekends PistonHeads show.

Also finally, I'd prob go for the stage 5 mods as some stage, cant help myself, lol.

nos is great and will give you nice bursts of power.... i cant help thinking you've gone so far on pure engineering, it would be kinda a shame to put a nos system on the car..... plus they are really expensive things to run..... owwwww i guess ill deo be the only bi-colour z4m.... boohhoo,, i thought it looked great as well, but each to their own, it will look great in red. ill look into the ground control ARBs, the only thing that worries me considerably is the stock arb mounting points are weak and ive seen afew now with the mounts ripped clean out uprated ARBs... be warned..... im going to concentrate on trick suspension and poly bushing..... look forward to future updates!!

With NOS, you can get a VERY clever control unit that delivers a certain % in each particular gear progressively that you programme. Considered it on my racing puma as a 'cheap fix', you two have spent so much already, may as well stick to the mechanical route IMO! :driving:

Here's my seats:

Seats really go with the black and red interior, I know they are heavy but it all just goes (BMW Individual Interior) :)

Oh yes my wish list M3 e92 with a few carbon fibre splitters, CSL's : (Photo from Car Magazine and that's not me in the photo by the way, lol)

Not a fan of those rear spoilers or the carbon wrap. Would prefer the Alpina rear spoiler and a plain red top! To each their own though :)

+1. It's a cracking car, which I really like, but the spoiler doesn't look right to me.

Like the carbon wrap

Can I ask what products you use on the paint, is there a wax you think really works with Imola?

I agree, I was worried when the rear wing was mentioned earlier. I much prefer it's cleaner look from the magazine shoot.

I didn't think it would be the case, but I thin I actually prefered the hardtop in black. It was balanced out by the wheels, which look great on the red roadster btw.

Have to the say the wings are growing on me.

Also have to say in the previous photo’s it did look very nice with the black hardtop, but if this makes sense, in real life it really looked odd at times, especially when the car got abit dirty. All I can say is photo’s can be really miss-leading sometimes.

Well if you go to the show the car will be there for you to see, however BMW Club stand has a red carpet which doesn’t work very well with my car being red, also and the lighting isn’t very good in the hall.

If you go you’ll see what I mean, lol.
