Can anyone tell me if the kangarooing effect I get in 1st or 2nd gear, but particularly moving down to 2nd, is my poor clutch control
or "normal"occasionally in my Z4MR?
Can be quite disconcerting at times , is this improved by CDV delete or just getting used to knowing how to avoid it?
Have had car few months now.
Excuse any ignorance :D

Mine does it a bit when it's really cold. I.e. When I first drive off in the morning, it's better if I use higher octane fuel but doesn't completely disappear.

You can learn to drive round it, but CDV removal helps. That said, it's still possible to look stupid if you don't concentrate

Characteristic of the car underfortunately, there are several ways you learn to drive around it and after a while it shouldn't be a problem.

Just the way it is, takes a bit of getting used to, almost as embarrassing  as sticking it in reverse at the lights instead of 1st, or is it just me!

Must be too rough with the gear stick to select reverse by mistake :poke:

Don't complain about the kangaroo clutch until you've driven one of the original Lotus Elans

I had this a few times when I first got mine. Got used to it now - all gear changes up and down are super smooth now. :)

CDV removal helps, but you can still get it if you just dump the clutch.

It's in the system for a reason tho!!!!
German Engineers don't tend to do things just for fun.
I would err on the side of caution and learn to live with the cdv in situ.

It's to ensure the cars transmission lasts a bit longer than the warranty period

I would say the driven plate is the weakest link in the chain.

Never heard of anybody having an issue because they have removed the CDV. As long as you give your car the respect it deserves removing the CDV will not cause any issues.
