The redline mtf helped my shifts in general, but the first to second takes some getting used to . I find that if you shift !.. FIRST to SECOND Bang Bang ! It wont go in smoothly ,especially when cold. But try shifting "Out " of first then "In" to second ,in a two part shift with a little side pressure to the left you may find you nail it more often than not.

Don't do it very often as I'm a mechanically sympathetic driver but when I do I hate it haha
