Hi guys, did my oil change after getting rod bearings replaced and noticed my cpv is leaking a little. I was suppose to have this replaced at the same time as the bearings but forgot!!!!!
Seems like an easy diy however does anyone know where to buy a tool that will make removing the cpv easier, in the US they call it a drag link socket (http://m.ebay.com/itm/332108692648).
Thanks

Assume it's only the seals that need replacing not the entire cpv?VRSteve wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2017 10:39 am John Pavel Jr <[email protected]>

CPV leaking
Great ordered from john, he's already shipped it out so hopefully be able to fit it on the weekend. On removing the cpv will there be any oil loss?VRSteve wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2017 2:07 pmYup just the seal.Viren wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2017 12:12 pmAssume it's only the seals that nee8d replacing not the entire cpv?VRSteve wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2017 10:39 am John Pavel Jr <[email protected]>

CPV leaking
I got the tool and seals from John too. Be prepared: it's a bitch of a job that will require a lot of arm contortion and swearing. I did mine with the engine carrier reinforcement place removed and reckon it would have been that much harder to try with it still on!
My tip: stick a ratcheting ring spanner over the hex section of the drop link socket
