Hi Guys, apologies for starting yet another thread on this often discussed topic, however I have an 07 MC and I am seriously considering these VMR CSL alloys http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321458777267? ... 1423.l2649
I would be really interested in your thoughts on:
1) Are these VMR wheels decent quality?
2) Should I lower the suspension, if so with what and by how much? Can I use the standard M - dampers and just change springs
3) Should I use sapcers, if so, which ones?
4) What size tyres should I use?
I have looked throughout many forums, and I see so many conflicting ideas. Thanks for your time

Re: Yet another query on 19" wheels
Surprised no response from those who have tread the same path but as enthusiastic observer my answers to your questions would be
1) I would say as good as any other rep or aftermarket wheel
2) fit the chosen wheels first then decide but lowering springs can be fitted without changing shocks
3) don't think you will need spacers on those chosen in link
4) fronts 235 35 19 rears 265/30 19 ( these could be tweaked in widths a little )
Last bit of advice would be to keep the 224's for selling the car

Re: Yet another query on 19" wheels
Those on fleabay are not genuine VMRs - they are copies. Google VMR - they are not widely available in the UK. You can order them from VMR direct in Europe. They are worth the premium over most reps IMHO. Think around £7-800 set plus tyres.
They are very nice wheels, better than typical reps - and they have JWL/VIA certification

You need to get the right offsets to negate the need for spacers as much as possible. Look for similar sizes/offsets to genuine CSLs as you have an ///M. Front ET44 rear ET27 I think.
