Summer wheels

Post by Varinn » Tue Nov 25, 2014 4:48 pm

Planned on getting a set of Apex ARC-8's for my Z4MC from damn near the day I bought it but in the end I opted for a different look. The Apex look great but I wanted something that looked less track oriented for my street driving but keeping the stock 18" diameter. It's winter here now and I don't have the rubber yet, but I was bored and couldn't leave them boxed up after picking them up a few days back so I decided to mess around and snap a some pictures.

First impressions are promising as they all look great with a brilliant finish. Both the VMR and OEM bmw caps fit snug, the weights seem accurate. My car is (currently) stock height, with no intent to lower. I may not have a choice though as when it's due for shocks/struts I will likely go for something with a better ride. Either Eibach/Bilstein HD or a low/mid range coilover like the Bilstein PS10 or H&R, whichever allows me to stay closest to stock height.

Front 18x8.5 et35 (~20.5lbs)
Rear 18x10 et25 (~21.5lbs)

When ordered, tires will be
245/40-ZR18 Michelin PSS
275/35-ZR18 Michelin PSS

They are beautiful looking rims, must send some photos when fitted.

Lovely looking wheels. Remind me a little of certain BBS wheels.

Very nice indeed. The Apex wheels are very cool but you re right more track look rather then road look just different
