Engine bay nuts and bolts tidy up
Evening all,
Been thinking about one of my favourite mods that was a component of my old TT engine bay (one of the nicest looking engine bays I've seen, if I do say so myself...), namely a tidy up of the nuts and bolts. I replaced all of them after buying a couple of kits, one to replace the stupid plastic clips holding covers in place and the other to replace the nuts and bolts.
Has anyone done anything similar on their M? The likes of Pro-Bolt or Racing Planet UK tend to be popular providers. If so, any pics and an idea of cost?
Thanks!

A mate of mine has a 225 TT and has also done this. They look good as they are a similar colour to his misano red bodywork.

It's a great mod. Makes a real difference as it removes the naff looking plastic and any tired or rusty looking nuts and bolts.
Think I'll investigate further when I get home this weekend.

add some flair elsewhere i say....
i went with a pearl black base, and did the ///M colours splashed across the cover. It really looks awesome in the flesh. sorry the pics aren't the best they were taken with a pants mobile in poor lighting.
****before anyone moans the stock cover is safe and sound in my loft. *****

OP: I'd be very interested in tidying up my engine bay with upgraded nuts/bolts too. Would be interested if you've found a good supplier.

Beedub, that's absolutely awesome! As you will see from the attached pic of my TT engine bay, it's right up my street! I think I might just have to do this.
Scaramanga, I get home tomorrow, I will have a look over the weekend and keep you posted. I have something in mind.

yes it came with my supercharger kit.... as used by many oem performance cars, such as mountune , the z06 , Porsche GT3 has them stock, and so so so many well regarded aftermarket people like alpina, RUF,Argenta wrote:Are people STILL using K&N filters..?
Its served me well all these years it it does what i need it to do, in an ideal world my S/C would have used the stock airbox as i don't like dramatic noise.

when the s/c went on simpson took the vanos off to do some maintaince pieces... so while it was off i polished it.... lol. SAD> To polish it like that it needs to be removed ideally, its dull in that pic a quick wipe and its like a mirror.
