M roady 96k miles, €17k (£14.9k). Thoughts on this one?
So Targetcars in Eindhoven have a nice little collection of RHD M roadies up for sale amongst their usual coterie of RHD bimmers.
This one's piqued my interest. Nice black on black with 96k miles.
It's sorned and last MOT expired back in March so it's been sitin around for a bit somewhere over here on the continent. I'll prob get a story about it at some point, that'll be interesting to hear.
failed previous MOT's on usual piddling issues and doesnt seem to be anything significant up with it.
Thoughts? Worthy of going for a butchers'?

It's a nice one for sure Andy, Interlagos blue doesnt really do it for me tho. But you're right re. locale: I gave up looking for a UK RHD coupe due to the sheer logistics involved. It was bad enough finding my curent roadie after having had 3 fruitless trips to the UK. OK, 2 of those were tied in with family/house visits etc but it's still a chew to get over just for a viewing.mr wilks wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2017 1:32 pm I appreciate your locality for a viewing but seems pricey RE the miles covered ?

Eindhoven's an hour south from me here in Holland and the only chew would be getting it through the import process or getting it back to he UK to be MOT'd etc if I decided to buy. Plus, I can offload some Euro's instead of being hit with a sh!tty exchange rate to buy in Sterling as I did with the roady. What I haggled off the price was offset by the loss in EURO-Pounds, plus the cost of bringing back to Holland.
So...benefits/disbenefits with both methods tbh but sourcing a RHD over here is the prefered option atm
Thx for the link tho
Edit: and his prices for the 3 RHD roadies he has are roughly comparable to UK prices when compared with his LHD M roadies which is encouraging. He'll obviously expect a haggle and I reckon I could prob get him to take 1000-1500 off with a good cash haggle....

He'll probably just need to swap the headlights to left hand drive versions, if he registers it in Holland, and then get the local version of an MOT.
It can mean insurance is a little more expensive, driving an import rather than a local car. But the price of Z4M's in Europe is considerably higher than the UK. I keep looking at mobile.de (german autotrader) for coupes, but they're 30-45k Euros.
Finding a decent pair of Xenon headlights can be a pain in the rear though.

nah. can keep it RHD and just swap headlight lenses over to pass the APK (MOT) and get it imported, as per Herminators post.
Will probably have to pay some purchase tax but will still be considerably cheaper than an equivalent Dutch M roadie. Theyre literally twice the purchase price!

Does it really need the headlights swapping for a dutch MOT?Chris_D wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2017 6:09 pmnah. can keep it RHD and just swap headlight lenses over to pass the APK (MOT) and get it imported, as per Herminators post.

Someone was asking about left hooker headlights earlier this week and the MOT and as I was at my mates place earlier I thought I would ask what the MOT regs around this are. Apparently as the zeds have the levers to flatten the beam a left hooker would pass the MOT over here. I'm just wondering does vice versa apply over there, maybe there's some pan EU standardization for this? It will save you a fortune if there is.

Well, tbh I'm not 100% on the zed's headlights but other UK expats I've spoken to here in Holland who've gone through the import process for various cars have mostly swapped in new headlights.MACK wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2017 6:18 pmDoes it really need the headlights swapping for a dutch MOT?Chris_D wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2017 6:09 pmnah. can keep it RHD and just swap headlight lenses over to pass the APK (MOT) and get it imported, as per Herminators post.

I managed to get hold of some LHD lenses for my xenons from a member here on the forum and when the UK MOT is up I'll be looking to go through the import process.
Presuming I'll have to do same for anything bought from Target in Eindhoven that's on a UK reg....
