Hi can anyone help please.
I have a bmw z4 which is a 55reg just short of the facelift. (GUTTED)
I have brought a new facelift front and rear bumper and rear tail light clusters.
I have tried to plug and play to no avail.....
Does anyone know how to sort this problem out? They dont light up at all nor do I get any warning lights on the dash.
I am willing to pay someone to sort this out for me if they can.
Cheers Ant

I'm no expert but as a minimum you need a new LCM then get it coded etc, not cheap by any stretch
That I suppose is why only one person on the forum (IIRC) has done it. Send a PM (or wait for him to read this) to cj10jeeper as he is knowledgeable on this subject.

Ah yes sorry I know he hasn't but he knows a lot about it, it must be hard if he never chose to do it, after everything else
When FemmeT did hers I think someone else did the wiring, LCM etc. Personally I don't mind the pre-facelift lights (well not the rears anyway) not enough to pay a fortune to change them.

Found this thread earlier, might give you the answers you need.
My question is does anyone know if it's possible to go the way, ie pre facelift rears on a facelift car without huge cost.

I would imagine it would be similar in the number of problems...RichardG wrote:Found this thread earlier, might give you the answers you need.

Re: Doing a rear tail lights facelift to new clusters???
Sorry - I already replied to this exact post sent to me as a PM.
My view was too much trouble, too much wiring for the rears, new LCM for the front and rears, etc. FemmeT did it but went through a lot of pain.
My answer is probably not a lot of help, but I never did this and actually as noted above prefer the pre facelift lights anyway......
