How to unmount Footrest

Do you know how to unmount (cleanly) footrest ?
It's seems to be glued ? :cry:

That appears to be an aftermarket plate so how it has been attached and with what adhesive heaven alone knows.

Try to use some heat from a hot air gun and gently prise it.

(I assume you are trying to remove that metal cover plate?)

I may be stating the obvious here - but the structure for a footrest on a LHD car (mounting doorside) surely has to be completely different to a RHD car where it sits alongside the transmission tunnel? Might make a difference in terms of replies from LHD / RHD owners.

I tried to find youtube video about "bmw unmount E9X footrest" but nothing real helping :o

Well it's M Package Footrest (bmw part original) in picture
Yes, i try just to change metal cover plate by new one (more cleaned)

Can’t you see any fixing method on the intended replacement footplate?
If there are none, in my opinion it would suggest adhesive is used.

Try searching for the BMW part possible they have instructions on how to attach. And would help with DE attach.
