I have driven an AMG GTS and it was fantastic..
Whats not to like?
A manual gearbox in one of these wouldnt suit it at all,it a GT to do GT duties.
If they ever fall into my price bracket i would have one in an instant, without hesitation.

I went to look at another today, going to take one out next weekend (lockdown permitting) to have a go.
Totally get the auto and GT thing, I just like changing gear

I get the Auto shift GT thing but I require the 3 pedal stick shift for the maximum sport car enjoyment. GL with the car. It has gorgeous lines and all the power you could want.

Thats your perogative....
Its one that i dont understand,bt its fair comment.
Have you ever used a manual gearbox in a 500-600bhp car? They are bad enough in something with 300-350bhp
Technology moves on,you just have to up your game as a driver to utilise what is given to you.

It's like a big zed, that's why I like them so much Yes the gearbox is becoming a sticking point for me the more I think about it. I went to see something else with a GTS badge on today, that may the solution as they come in manual

Either way it is a great machine, really. It just depends upon how and where you are going to drive it. For me a car like this would be a 4th car used solely for weekend canyon runs. I like the F type Jag in this category GT and nearly half the cost. The V8 540 hp 8 speed auto gets rave reviews in 2 wheel drive. They did make a few (dam few) MT units in 2016 but GL finding one of those.

I have a 440hp MT Mustang that requires respect. Even the little 315hp Boxster looses grip if pushed to hard.Z4M-2006 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 2:39 pm

I'm not sure I need more power than these have, but I do love the sounds and the G force. lol.
But I do enjoy the level of engagement I get from shifting gears in any car.
