A Question for all Forum Members
I went pureeing about the Buy-Sell section and noticed that a lot of posts have now been sold, but are still listed.
What would you all think if the moderators or the original poster (if that's possible) delete a thread that is now SOLD, say after about week when the item is gone?
This would clean up that section and allow users who are searching for something to buy to find those items just a little bit faster.
It would also help keep those items that did not sell right off from being 'buried' in the posts.
Thoughts from the forum?
If the majority of users like the idea, we (users) can post a poll on just how long to keep a SOLD post before it is delete.
Or am I just smoking crack....

Not a completely bad idea, but if I was looking to buy something from an individual, I would look to see if they had sold something before and what feedback there may have been.

Re: A Question for all Forum Members
Could we have a "sold items" sub-forum? That way, once a seller marks the thread as sold it can be moved there, but it is still visible if people wish to check how much things went for etc...
Good idea Ship...

Thinking is good, and this idea is good too. By removing no longer available items, more room could be created.

I agree, but also like being able to see any feedback so I vote for the 'Sold' sub forum as sp3ctre suggests

Good idea, if you sell something can you not make a feedback rating system the same as ebay? just to free up more space from the ''sold forum'' idea, or is this to complex?

Re: A Question for all Forum Members
Cleaning out the Sales section of old or sold is a great idea.
Personally I'd not bother with the heavyweight work of creating a feedback system. Frankly members don't individually sell enough items to build a score. We can look at how many posts and get a good idea about people. Those rare ocassion when it has gone wrong we see posts up pretty quick and if someone does just register just to sell an item then - caveat emptor.
