Maybe worth speaking to stevespg, he rebuilds TVR’s and has owned and driven plenty.

I’ve seen some of his work on TVR’s, outstanding doesn’t cover it

    Tuscan

Great fun, easy to work on

All Tvr electronics can be a tad temptental, but all can be fixed by a few specialists. Check everything works as switchgear can be a pain to sort.

All the mechanicals are readily available and sortable, the most common major concern is the speed 6 engine. Fabulous when in song, very very revvy, but make sure tappers and clearances arc have been checked and not worn or may need work.

Throttles can wear, so a rebuild of throttle bodies improves things markedly . It’s cheap at £400

An awful lot of speed 6 were rebuilt, some better than others… so that’s the area that you should focus, but a full rebuild might run 5/6k, so not a disaster.

Happy to chat more if you pm.
