Wheel style recommendations
Currently have style 108 on my e86 on Bridgestone runflats ( i know) - These alloys and tyres came with the car when I purchased it the tyres were brand new and funds were tight so I decided to keep the Bridgestone runflats instead on changing to Michelin PS5.
Now I’m in a position to get the Michelin PS5 so I thought I would get some new alloys with the PS5’s and I can rotate them with current wheels.
My car colour is Titan Silver and really like the csl style but what to keep them on 18” tyres.
Are there any modifications required to switch to a different style like the csl?
Thanks guys

I may be biased in my humble opinion. I too love the csl style alloys on the coupe, but only in 19 inch wheel size. I think 18s in csl style alloys look slightly small on the coupe. I love the look of 224m alloys on the coupe. They're 18's and compliment the coupe incredibly.

CSLs look very good on the E86 IMO.
The thread linked shows one with 18" CSLs which look great but the car has been lowered, so a bit of a cheat!

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

CSL’s or 224’s both look incredible on the E86.

There are loads of CSL Replicas available that will have offsets suitable for an E86, and while they look great so many Z4s have them I took them off my current one to go back to OE 224s!
My previous E86 had a clean set of 108s fitted when I bought it but I knew they would need an expensive refurb at some point so I sold them while they were still in good condition after buying a set of staggered 18" E89 Style 295s.
I liked the 5 spoke look and the E89 offsets meant they sat much further out in the arches, but I never had any rubbing issues with them.

I’ve run 19” CSL and I’m now on 224’s. The ride is much plusher on the 18’s that really is the only thing to note. But the CSL look do look great on the car.
I’ve just bought some 18” BBS CH which I’m putting on later this week.

if you can get hold of some, some BMW style 216 wheels are similar to CSL, but a bit different. and super light too. good fitment as they're originally on an E90.
like these, but not cracked and kerbed, ideally...

I think if I were to go aftermarket I would definitely be getting something with some dish on them, really suits the car in pics I have seen, CSL reps have been done to death, I would be after something quite different.
Ten years or so ago I owned a 350z similar shape you could say to an E86, and went with Volks Racing GTV 18s so got a good ride but also a good look in my own humble opinion. Diamond cut polished lips were hard to maintain though

ooof, perfectly demonstrates the pitfalls of black wheels - you cant see them at all! if it weren't for the polished lips you wouldn't even know they were there...

I messed around with the photo settings to make the car look darker, in reality they were very clearly there and easy to see

Have an e86 in titan silver..did have 108's..the question is do stay silver or go contrast? Its personal opinion. There is a vote on here somewhere for style choice that helped me choose.
Good luck..love titan for the flame surfacing!
