Hi Guys. No stranger to BMW's having had an E30 325 sport, a E46 320i (street DTM version lol) looking back, Jeez! 2 X E92 325's 1 x E93 330i all manuals and a 640d GC. However, 6 weeks ago after lusting after a E86 for several years I got rid of My Audi A7 to get the one I had my eyes on. A midnight blue, manual 3.0si with only 60k. It already has 62k and normally I dont do that many miles.
I have loved all my BMW's but none has gotten under my skin quite like this one. The ride is terrible...partly because of how it was made but not helped by the fact that it has stood for long periods of time and not been looked after vey well so some of the rubbers need replacing + the road crews simply dont give a sh*t how they do repairs...and yet it doesn't bother me like it should. Enough to get it all sorted but not nearly enough to even think about getting rid.
Anyway, thats my "Z4 anonymous group" honesty bit over ill sit back down and leave you with the following to read and listen to...
I did search the forum and couldnt find reference to....
Full specs and some nice pics of the most unicorn Z4Mcoupe http://www.dailysportscar.com/archive/s ... agt610.htm
A video of one of these being thrashed around Hockenheim, turn the sound off till it comes out of the pit garage

I forgot to include a E85 in my list, loved the noise with a very particular and rather amusing sound generator mod that didnt intrude into the cabin.

Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Thanks guys, glad to see some humour about ill update when I decide what to tackle properly first. Probably the glass, been through some god awful mechanical car wash, must have been through several times and every single piece of glass is horribly scratched. Got the glass discs just havent got the right machine to do it yet, 2 Batt Cordless will run out as polishing after sanding even with the cerium oxide will take hours.

Welcome to the forum Sparky.
You did well to find one with such low mileage, but it deserves a new front badge!
I love a Pearl Grey interior with a darker paint colour, both my first 2 Coupes had it.

@Mr Tidy. I want an enamel one, theres some vintage ones 1 on ebay (Auction) and 1 on a 2nd hand dutch site (25euros + packaging) with just the blue and white quadrants and silver edging no BMW letters but they're 80mm You can also get the 50th anniversary badge in enamel from the BM Bike range which I like but its not an M so I cant +its also 80mm.
Heres the Dutch vintage badge....

That enamel one looks fantastic. It's just a shame that the Z4 ones seem to be a unique size.
I bit the bullet with my previous Coupe and bought an OE one from BMW for about £40.

If you do make sure you don't lose the self-tapping nuts from the back of the old one when you take it off as new badges don't come with new nuts.
You only need to pop out one of the kidney grilles to get to them.
