Trying to find location of PK code on 2015 Z4

Post by NJCopley » Tue Aug 29, 2023 8:08 pm

Hi, I have just bought a 2015 Z4 and need to reset the Bluetooth.
No paperwork with the car when purchased.
Have looked all over the car and also some of the online videos but seem to be USA variants not matching this car.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Download the user manual for your car by typing in your VIN

https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owners/ ... e-app.html

That covers Bluetooth plus a lot more..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Trying to find location of PK code on 2015 Z4

Many thanks, have done this but the manual doesn’t give us the Passcode Key number, it’s so frustrating. Apparently it’s in the car sonewhere (involving taking panels apart in the boot), but we can’t find anything. Any ideas?

You generate the passcode key ..there is no secret passcode key hidden in the car..

In the process it asks for a passcode key..you twirl the idrive to create a passcode..by default if yiu just say ok it’s 0000

Like so many things on these cars it’s mystery till you sort it out for the first time then wonder why it seemed such a faff..

Glad you are happy..
