So the Mrs loves her Volvo’s, she’s gone from a C30 to a V40cc and now to an XC40. She’s wanted one one for a years and with 165k on the V40, it was time for a change.
Been in the trade it bugs me buying now with car prices been so high, but needs must. So on Monday we are off to pick up an XC40 D3 AWD inscription (69reg 22k miles) with some nice options. This model made the most sense as she wanted full leather and lots of comfort. Also been less desirable than the R Design it offers better value. Performance was also not a big deal, and doing lots of miles it was diesel all the way!
Anyone any experience of the XC40? Review all seem positive?

We looked at one to replace both a F56 Mini Cooper SD and a XC70…
Great car..handsome in a compact chunky way..
Decided to roll over and do a 90k big upgrade on the xc70..b6 Bilstein dampers, supplex springs , various new suspension parts and timing and accessory belts..Mini upto 235 BHP and XC70 265 BHP..
Made much more economic sense..
Enjoy

We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Pretty car ..enjoyed driving it over a long weekend and if money was no object would have considered it XC70 out XC40 in..but big cash adjustment required and now retired so decided to husband funds….most strange ..Popey wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 8:21 pmEconomic sense went out of the window… it was damage limitationB21 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 7:52 pm We looked at one to replace both a F56 Mini Cooper SD and a XC70…
