His is 7 years old now (or perhaps even more, time flies and he has a private plate - guess it is easier to quote during a phone call :poke: ). He bought it from the royal household so it has a few interesting features inside.

He has never broken down, but has had quite a few turbo failures, suspension issues etc. Within a week of ownership mice had eaten through his wireloom so that was a great start for him.

One final nail in the coffin, was just near you about 10 days ago, at the ringroad by Marldon, I got a speeding ticket from the most "hidden" camera I have (never) seen... 65 in a 40 dual carriageway. Yes I know its wrong, but the picture is taken from the most obscure/far away position. I'm expecting more than a speed awareness course for that one..
Very unlucky. The police have been out there on foot with cameras for a few weeks now on and off. I didn't realise that it was only 40mph oops!
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

just between 5 lanes and the old smokey roundabout... I'm hoping they are nice to me because its technically a dual carriageway.

Sold an identical car just over a year ago to a garage in London and they put it up for sale with £6K profit and it went with 3 days.

As you say its a great looking car and gave me immense pleasure for the 7 years I owned mine. Just got a bit scared of a potential high cost if anything went wrong.

I bought a Range Rover Sport (I know, don't say anything!) earlier in the year. Its a bit of a diva, and needs attention (it started by waking me up every night around 2am!) - then a £1100 MOT. :x
Its a completely different car to the Z obviously (and like driving a powerful sofa!)... I'll see how long I can live without a sports car on the drive (its been about 12 years!, 2 s2000s, 2 Z4s) before deciding if those days are over... :D
You might regret that - I knew a car salesman in Bristol a few years back.
He took me to a compound FULL or Range Rovers/discos etc that no one wanted/no one could fix economically/no one could sell.
They have the worlds worst rep for reliability, even the brand new ones.
My friend Louis bought a 2023 full spec landrover thing cost an absolute fortune, the one with the daft boxes glued on the side looks like a brick, it broke down in less than 48 hours! Took them ten days to get it started. Two days after its back the alarm started working in reverse (opening the car with the remote locks it but you can start the engine if you are locked in. Locking the car unlocks it but you cant start it!!!) so once again its undriveable!
Did you know the V6 engine is a V8 with the back 2 cylinders cut off and plugged up!!!! Says it all really.
Hope you are lucky with it but I would definately be wanting a dam good warranty

Beautiful car (I would say that), I hope it goes to a good home.

I'm curious how much you had it on AT for? I didn't see it on there.

Yes, maybe it will end up on here.

It was on AT for £18k. I was surprised I had literally no private interest at all. AT suggested £15.5 :tumbleweed: WBAC did £11.5

I’m thinking of selling my 35iS …. I have a 3 month old granddaughter Daisy who is the apple of my eye and I’ll be needing a sensible car to ferry her about when I take up full time Grampering when our daughter finishes her maternity leave next April. Every time I drive the zed and gaze at her on the drive I have second thoughts it’s really a tough decision. :(

Cant you buy a cheap little car and keep your Zed? Or put her in the front seat without the airbag.

I had the same issue (although not full time), the zed went as it was also giving me some issues with my knee and bought an M4 vert - its a great car, roof down, four seats and the kids love it, 30mpg when sensible
