Your Motoring Journey
Just wondering what cars people have owned in the past, from their very first, up to the most recent, and which you have enjoyed the most. I'll get started:
1983 Ford Fiesta 950 Popular
1981 Mini Clubman 1100
1989 Ford Escort 1.4 GL
1989 Skoda Estelle 130GL
1989 Vauxhall Cavalier 1600L
1981 Ford Fiesta 1100L
1995 Rover 214SLi
1994 Renault Laguna 1.8RT
1993 Ford Probe 16v
1992 Nissan 100NX
2001 Vauxhall Astra 1.7DTi Envoy
2005 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0DTi 150 SXi
2003 Toyota Avensis 1.8
2008 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec
2010 Audi A3 2.0 Tdi S-line Convertible
2004 BMW Z4 2.2i SE Roadster
The Ford Probe was previously my favourite, different and could turn heads. I am a big fan of the Audi A3 convertible which I still have. Still getting used to the spartan nature of the Z4, but love its looks, still a bit torn between the A3 and the BMW, and only one can stay. So 43mpg and bags of torque, or 25mpg and a great sounding straight 6. Erm, I think I've made my mind up! Over to you...

From now onwards I am going to be convinced you look like Alan Partridge!
Apparently single-handedly killed off the Probe with his enthusiastic support of it.
As the vast majority of my list would be something between 30 and 40 Capris (yes really) then I'm afraid the Probe is something of an anathema to me, sorry.

I dont have the dates but can roughly remember most of them in order:
Starting in 1993
VW Polo, x3 Ford Fiestas including a rare 1.4s, Ford Orion 1.6i, Rover 216gti, Ford Escort 1.6, Vauxhall Corsa 1.4TD, Vauxhall Astra 1.8SR
Then about 13 years ago I got a job with a company car and went for the all new VW Scirocco 1.4TSi. I really liked driving it so when I left the job I thought it was time I went a bit more sporty with my car choices. I bought a Nissan 350z GT, then moved on to a VX220 NA, then onto a Nissan R33 Skyline, then into a Celica ST205 GT4, then back into a VX220 this time a stage 1 turbo version, then getting myself an E86 Z4 3.0si. I sold that this year and got myself an E85 3.0si which I still have.
As a car that just made me look and think wow and the rarity factor the winner is definitely the Celica
A car which literally made all the others feel like I was driving a transit the winner is the VX220 Turbo which is utterly bonkers
For stupid fun and hilariously bad handling the Rover bagged it
The Z4 isnt as quick or as good at handling as previous cars but its probably the most complete without being too compromised. Roof off, decent performance, decent handling, it doesnt win any category but it is a car that for the money ticks a lot of boxes.

You and me both, GreySquirrel! One of the most asked about cars I've owned when filling up at a petrol station. Mine was 1994, black and got through three alternators

I have spent the last few hours making a list..............but I have run out of pens...and paper...and interest!
First was a 1980 Ford Capri 1.6L in stunning beige.
Current is a 3.0 Z3 in water-logged blue!
At least 70 in between and 21 motorbikes. No, sorry 22 bikes as had one this year for 2 months that I forgot!
