help needed!
Hello
In have E89 2012 original, which is driving me crazy! can anyone help
Ive got an ongoing issue with ABS,TC,TP, Parking brake Lights on, this was at first intermittent, then they went off and on, now there permenatly on. they all come on then the P lights goes from Amber to red, there is no pattern to this. other than it when the car is accelerating. also the Engine management light comes on
I have a Carly app which is showing
Rough road detected left rear
wheel speed signal not plausible left rear
the car had a new left rear speed sensor about three months ago which seemed to sort the problem, but its now like a Christsmas tree on the dash.
the car when to a reliable local garage for new brakes, suspension work and service, the have completed diagnostics and she all ABS/Speed sensors are working and that the ABS rings are new.
Carly would up until yesterday clear the codes , now they won't clear them
the car drives well, ive been advised to get a sparky to take a look, as next stage, any suggestions or somewhere in south wales that anyone could recommend

You may be in luck, my son, as there is a member of the 'zedshed' near you. Colb. He will hopefully be along shortly!
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Problem is it only takes one DSC wheel sensor to go dicky and hell brakes lose..
All points to something associated with the relevant abs sensor..he may have used coped grease which can knacker the sensor..faulty connection, infant mortality of part etc..the focus should be there..
Suggest you travel to find a decent Indy

New ABS rings??? You have to pull the axle to do that. Was that part of the brake job? I'm with B21, I think your shop mucked up the simple task of replacing your ABS sensor, or used a low quality replacement. Just do it yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAxG8kuZATc

New parts can be faulty out of the box - the standard thing is that they either fail fast, or are good for ages.
Looks like yours have failed fast (could be a problem with the part - mor likely in my experience is a problem when fitting).
You have nice clear codes - rear left as everyone says needs attention.
If you have a good relationship with the garage where it was fettled previously, maybe take it back to them.
Or just change it yourself, it's not a difficult job & that may sort it the fastest.
Also - 2012 car - check the state of the battery. If it's anything like original, it way past overdue for changing.
I won't rehash the million threads on here that tell you why, but it's necessary. (go search)

Just caught up with this thread, I am in Newport and can scan the car with Launch and other diagnostics. Suggest you get a replacement left rear sensor and change the duff one out then see if codes clear. Can do this at my Zedshed pm me for details
