All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Sorry yes they do. Just not the button where the wing mirrors fold in.
I sourced a switch panel. Have just fitted it. Lo and behold.....still not working.
Have checked my warranty and its all covered under that.
Now to get it booked into garage.

Don't tell them you've tried another switch!
Any excuse to void the warranty.

Haha not a chance. Will have to swap the switch back over to the original one before taking it in.

Well the car has been to BMW and the fault is not covered under the warranty.
" corroded wiring" which means a leak somewhere.
Have to find someone nearby who can fix this now..... typically near xmas time too.

My car had bad earth on the plug in the door. I noticed the illumination on buttons was out.
Started with windows randomly not going down unless i banged arm rest.
One day windows would go down but not up.
So i cleaned plug with contact cleaner, made sure firmly refitted, no problems since.

If it's corroded wiring inside the door, that's on its own loom which can be replaced.
Had to be done on mine a while back - cost was £250 for the loom, another £200 or so for the disposal of the old loom (thieving bstrds), 1hr to fit.
Covered on warranty for me.
