One of the handiest tools now is being able to reverse image and find out the real origin of an image. I suspect even that will be able to be faked soon.
Watching GBnews the other day and on of their tech geeks was showing what appeared to be a video of Nigel Farage being displayed on Big Ben. In the foreground was what appeared to be a crowd of people recording it on their iphones as if it was really happening live.
It was all deep fake, even the people appearing to be recording it. Scary stuff
