Little Road trip

Post by Jollyjoiner » Thu Jan 04, 2024 4:59 pm

Well I've been itching to get out I the Z over the festive period and finally we got a break in the rainy weather so had bit of drive out.
Start point Bolsover, then went to Ladybower, Strines, up to Holmfirth, then to Holme Moss summit, then headed to Glossop via the B6105, stopped off in Glossop at the Commercial Inn for lunch then headed back home via snake pass, Hathersage, Froggatt edge, Chesterfield and home.
Roof down and some fresh air, perfect and all in the Z 35i with the dct box, whats not to like 👍🏻

Excellent
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

Not far from me! That's my usual route and then through Glossop and on to Snake Pass. Car looks great! I'll miss a convertible once the weather gets better I'm sure

Cheers everyone.
I may be biased but I also like the wheels I put on it and all the subtle mobs I've done over the 5 years of ownership :P
Glad the weather stayed nice and the roads were quite quiet which added to the fun and the Bilstein B8 dampers with Eibach springs doing their thing plus the soundtrack from the Milltek exhaust was music to my ears :driving:
And no John, Lyndsay was not restrained in her seat and rode shotgun with full consent :poke:

Nice one. There are lots of benefits to living in London, driving roads with great views isn't one of them
