Tyre Roar

HI All,
Is tyre roar in the cabin normal for our cars, no longer using run flats.
Was thinking if its bad wheel bearings but car has only done 56,000 km.

Many Thanks

Yes it is..depending on tyre choice, roac surface and speed..the volume varies..not easy to mitigate..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is

As you may well know, sumotan, tyre noise is in dB on the label on a new tyre and on manufacturers' & sellers' websites. So, the difference between figures is exponential, not linear: in other words, it's a lot.

On used tyres, pressure, age (which for most makes should be less than 6 years), alignment, (wheel) size and other features play their parts, apparently.

In my experience, new, expensive tyres, that I want to be quiet, usually are.

My GY Assy i think 5's are nosier than earlier tyres. I think they made the inside of tread harder to last longer, which they seem to be doing. Considering the tread gaps are bigger than earlier tyres.

Tracking can also cause noises. I certainly hear the back tyres more than front, closer.

I have noticed that the PS5‘s are much quieter than the Factory fitted Bridgestones!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
