The EvoX-R is known to be direct replacement for Hella e55, other projectors will take some modifications to fit.

But even EvoX-R takes some minor modification as it's shorter than E55.
Thanks, It looks like I will go for the Retrofitlab Bi-xenon kit, although their website doesnt say if there are UK import charges...
When did you buy your kit, as there are no recent updates, and I worry that they have gone out of business!!
Thanks again,
Dave.
Any issues with LHD v RHD if you're importing them?

To fully convert to Bi-Xenon dip, from halogen, with mid-range bulbs, seems to come to around £250 with shipping.
Of course, MOT legality may be a concern, and potentially import charges as well...

Still, like Caius, I have to do something to drastically improve my dip beam, its becoming lethal, my 1938 BSA has better headlights!!

I thought, and pulled the trigger on an as-new EvoX-R from Norway that allegedly got mis-sold there as Right Hand Traffic, but is Left Hand Traffic. See how true that is once it turns up

Just ordered a set of EVOX-R's from Retrofitlab c/w ballasts, and wiring to match my existing halogen set up.
Have ordered a set of Osram Xenarc nightbreaker lasers bulbs to match (from UK).

For anyone who is interested, UK costs are as follows:

EvoX-R's retrofit kit, inc wiring, splitters and ballasts, etc £209 inc shipping.
Import tax on the above £52
Osram Xenarc bulbs £85

Hope to have these in a few days, and will report back on the improvements.

There are lots of options for cheaper bulbs, but these new Osrams seem to get excellent reviews, as do the Philips ones.
