Reading this post I realise my education has been somewhat lacking. I hardly understood a word guys. It was like trying to read a foreign language. I am greatly impressed by those of you know what you are talking about. I just feel totally inadequate.

Really? So maybe let’s talk in Russian Lithuanian languages? How many languages do you know?

Not much to offer there either. A bit of French and a pass in ‘o’ level Latin many years ago. I am reasonably fluent in ‘pitmatic’. My dad was a mining engineer in Durham. :D

Rokas, I was not referring to your posts. I was referring to the level of technical language used by the guys offering help and advice being way above my head. It was meant to be light hearted. Please accept my apologies if I have offended you I certainly didn’t mean to do so.

This little box could be faulty:

I have had a faulty seat occupancy bypass from new, you may have been unlucky and received 2 faulty ones.

If both of these parts can be proved to be working correctly, by testing parts in another person's Z4, and you still get an airbag light that cannot be removed permanently then I can only guess you may have a faulty satellite b pillar module of which I have no experience of.

Rokas2017, I just went back through the previous pages of this thread. I'd forgotten we'd already discussed the SBSL module.
I'm thinking you need to source a compatible one from the list I sent you, then get it coded in.
To code it you'll need this handy guide from mac27040, and of course the software.

The e92 occupancy sensor won't work in an early Zed (02-05) like yours, as you have found out. Possibly may work with a facelift Zed (06-09) which is something I'd like to test one day.
