OEM Floor Mats? Or something else?

Post by Tuna! » Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:58 am

I bought my Z4 used and it did’t come with floor mats. I guess they must have gotten worn out and curled. Are the OEM ones good? How is the pad under the shift?

I’m really tempted to try a custom made one from:

https://palaztex.com/product/bmw-z4-e85 ... 2002-2009/

You can customize your own mat. But will be slightly more expensive.

Did u send a photo? Did you mean diamondmats.com? The full coverage mats? I’m not a fan of that look. But also the price looks more than twice as much

OEM is really the best, they are very, very hard wearing and look and fit perfectly. I would not go third party for those.

Okay. How is the foot pad? Do you notice it? Does it do anything? Does that last?

Mine is on 91k, and sure they are the original ones. No wear marks, just gave them a very good (wet) clean and they look as new.

My car is on 73k, and the mats are the originals (dates on the back). They have no wear and look brand new when vacuumed. In contrast, I bought some "Deluxe" mats from a popular online seller for my A3 last year, and they had worn right through in just 3 months! OEM for me from now on, if I ever need to buy any more!
Stereo off, straight six is all the music I need!
