Could you remove the pad shim to give more clearance?
I think I can, but is that there for vibration/squeal reasons?

I've hardly driven them but initial impressions are good.
Although I do have a longer pedal, the power is there but there's more pedal travel to get it.
I'm not sure if this is a characteristic of these callipers on the 3.0si or maybe a 2nd bleed is needed.??
Mine is firm, but further away than it was yesterday.

I found my pedal was a little longer than previously with the OE calipers, but that's because you're moving more brake fluid with the 6-piston calipers than the single piston OE calipers. I actually found it a nice improvement once used to it, as it permits better pedal modulation.
Can't comment on the performance brake coding, I never bothered.
