What size are you buying ed? I'd love to get a set having just junked my 'wet set' of arc8 which never got used. By luck or whatever ar-1 have been fine for the last 10/15 days I've done, but ad09 ticks all the boxes, if only they did a bloody 235/40 18, which is like one of the most common sizes, pfff.

I know the correct answer is to get a052 but I'm too tight. 1400ish for a set that by all accounts don't last that long, eugh.

Side return, loft -1 , trackdays - 0 this year I think, let's see!

You certainly looked like you were going very well at Donny last year - was that on Ar1s or MRF? Impressive that you managed so many days on a set, that's a decent innings to be honest!
I got 245/40/18 Front & 265/40/18 Rear on the AD09s. We'd talked before about what a pain 265/40 was to get hold of for the rear, but I do prefer it to a 255/40 or 265/35. Anyway, either way the AD09s were a decent price from Darkside developments in the end after a bit of shopping around. Not driven the car yet but will report back in April after Donny - you're welcome to have a go in it if you're about (and if trackdays have evened up the score vs the loft  )

Hah, I wish. I guess on average I get a 'season' out of them, so 6ish TDs ~3k miles. The MRF I tried in 22 were pretty similar, maybe a bit better but I preferred the ar-1 so have gone back to them.

Yes I'd be interested to see how you find them. Now I don't have the spare set of wheels with PS5 i had for wet days the AD09 is really appealing, I used the original AD08R and they were fantastic overall I thought. Whilst ar-1 are pretty decent in the damp with heat, any standing water and they're a bit of a liability. I've been caught out being on the wrong tyre before, not good  235/40 18 will be available at some point so maybe by the time I actually get the chance to go they'll have been released :)

I still don't think that's bad - 6 proper days at it seems a fairly good innings for a set of sticky track tyres!

I'll keep you posted, being honest though ill likely be quite impressed as it's my first set of track tyres..! I'd heard anecdotally that the old AD08R was supposed to be much better than the AD08RS which replaced it, and the AD09 is supposed to at least rectify the issues with the 08RS. Heyho will see, as I say if you can find the time to get away from your house projects you're more than welcome to take mine for a pedal round donny or wherever

I think it might have been dark side that did a track test with the AD09 and A052, it’s on YouTube somewhere. Iirc, the 09 seemed like a good Tyre and not too far off the 52.

As for misha, I wouldn’t let him near my car, but I’d love to see him take someone else’s M round there!
