Nice one Martin. Alpine is THE best colour for the E89.

So what engine is it? :?

Yes it’s the 2.5 N52 as PVR said.

I realise I didn’t list this as an option in the wanted add, but then I reminded myself the car wasn’t for me and she didn’t really need 260BHP… and I wouldn’t be driving it that often.

Also dropped the iDRIVE to get what is otherwise the perfect car for her

A very nice gesture indeed, years ago dealers did that but no longer, still think white is one of the best colours on an e89 - looks great

Dealers seem to have lost touch with proper customer service these days.
I looked at a change and during the day 1 & day 2 negotiations the sales wallah was falling over backwards and was my best back slapping mate - However I eventually decided against the purchase for good and legitimate reasons.

I’ve been back to the dealership several times afterwards and quite recently for services for both cars - the sales wallah saw me and not even a polite nod of recognition!

i will eventually buy another car but will certainly not be rushing to see them as he failed to maintain any rapport with the customer - very short sighted in my opinion.

It’s not just about a bunch of daffodils

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

The relationship with a salesman usually ends when buying new once you decline their offers of paint protection, Gap, alloy wheel insurance as their commission goes down the pan. It usually immediately goes from smiles to a blank expression :D
