Pair of E85 doors - Silber Grau
A pair of silver grey doors from a facelift E85.
These are in excellent condition, stripped, but looms left attached.
I am informed that the greenhouse needs to go back to its summer job, so these need to go!
£50 each or £85 for the pair.
I would prefer collection, but if you wish to arrange a courier I'll wrap them accordingly.
I could also deliver or meet somewhere within a reasonable radius.

Final bump as sadly I may have to scrap these due to lack of storage space.

In case you would be scrapping the doors: I am interested in the locks if they are still there. Specifically the part shown in the following post:
https://www.bmwzforum.nl/forums/topic/1 ... ent=413011
The early E85 have a metallic/rattling sounding lock when closing the door, which seems to be resolved for the later models (at least, that is what is described in the Dutch forum topic). I would be interested in giving that a try
I am based in The Netherlands, but could arrange a UK address for shipping.

I looked into this last week when you first mentioned it. I could find no conclusive evidence there is any difference. In fact the same lock assemblies are used in many other BMW models. So to be honest with you, whilst I’d happily dig them out for you I’m not convinced you won’t be wasting your money

Just dug them out this morning. Cannot find a part number on them anywhere, but they are both date stamped 02/06. According to Realoem the later ones came out in 05/02/07. Part numbers 51217202144 & 51217202145.enuff_zed wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 9:23 pm I looked into this last week when you first mentioned it. That's very helpful info, thanks! If there is already a difference between the locks, it makes more sense to look for the recent builts.enuff_zed wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 10:22 amJust dug them out this morning. In the interests of clarity, the passenger door is currently reserved, pending a decision by a forum member.
I have agreed to hold it for a week or so.
