My 2003 2.5 has a flickering oil light at idle when I stop for a stoplight. Not always, and only when the car is hot.
I Checked the oil level and things are good.
Watching this YT video, this guy says it could be Oil Pressure sensor, Oil Pump or tolerances.
What do you think? Is he right?
Anyone ever have a flashing oil light, and if so; How did you resolve it?

Is it red? Could be a faulty pressure switch. I’d start with that.
If that doesn’t solve it you may have an oil pressure problem. When did it last have an oil change? The filter can collapse and cause problems.
If not could be an oil pump. But one step at time and start with the easy stuff

After replacing my oil pressure sensor, the problem went away and hasn't returned. It was a pretty easy replacement.

Quite rare for these sensors to fail but the can go weak, had one on an Austin 1100 many years ago that started the light flickering, replacement sorted that.
