Morning Gents,
Had an issue with Freya, fuel gauge wouldn't go above 3/4 full despite being full to the brim. When driving it wouldn't budge until about 60 miles'ish and then it started going down as normal for some reason? Not too sure on the mechanics for how that works I imagine it's a float of some sort in the fuel tank?
Either way I was a tad worried it'd be a sensor of some sorts but I did some research and early yesterday decided to chuck 300ml TECHRON Dbl concentrate, chucked it in with about 5ltrs left in the tank and then topped it up to max with some Shell V-Power, it sat overnight and this morning after I warmed her up I gave her a good drive up the M32, down the M4 to Bath and back and the fuel gauge now reads accurate!
Happy days, quick cheap fix so I thought i'd share incase anyone else has had this issue

Fuel gauge not going past 3/4 full
Dirty resistor slide that the fuel tank float slides up and down would be my guess, the cleaner probably cleaned it up. Lucky escape its a faff to get it out if it needed replacing as the tank has to be emptied.
