Does anyone know if there is a way to access repair manuals for the z? Kinda like the old Haynes manuals that give instructions and torque specs etc?
I’ve had a quick search about for these but always end up at the same place where a website is closed down (e.g newTIS) or just something that’s a dead end and likely to give my pc a virus?

If you do some digging around, Rheingold ISTA is the way to go. Installation at your own risk

A closer look and it’s their auto tool not an actual book … doesn’t cover the basics any more which is a bit crap
Would’ve happily bought one

It covers servicing, checking oil level, coolant chage, wheels and tyres etc. As well as the more advanced stuff. So I would say it covers the basics. I could be wrong, but I think they did do a printed version too.buzyg wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 11:39 pm Is this site no good then?

Is it as good as the old ones,
I think I need to replace the cylinder head gasket and whilst I know how to do this on a few other cars there will be nuances specific to the m54 engine. It’s looks fairly straight forwards from what I’ve found and read but it’s always good to have some instructions, also the correct torque settings. Biggest challenge seems to be the exhaust bolts due to the cant of the engine but this can be overcome.
Should’ve thought on any bmw with that engine will do
