Some w##ker cut through my roof
Hi guys, I bought myself a z4 3l, i parked my car up at home yesterday and ive come out today and some p##ck has cut through my roof to try and get inside. They failed miserably and have left me with a lovely bill. I've had the car literally 2 weeks, im gutted to say the least.
I've rung a few people but we are talking 1k+ for a new roof fitted. I've seen a few complete roofs on ebay and I'm wondering how hard they are to fit? I did see a thread on here about replacing a roof and it looked very good although the pictures aren't linked anymore unfortunately.
Does anyone know a decent specialist that could help that doesn't cost the earth? Or had any experience changing the roof themselves? I'm based in bedford.
Cheers

Sorry to hear that never understand why people mindlessly destroy others property. I think a fair few people on here have removed/replaced these themselves. The closest specialist to you is probably Ross at RBM in Hook. He relocated my roof motor and replaced a split hydraulic hose for a fraction of dealer prices, definitely worth the travel

Just never understand why people have to be jealous of other having something they don't.

I used these guys a few years ago to supply and fit a new roof for my first Z3 after the same thing happened to me.
Bit far from you but highly recommended.

That's such a sh*tty thing to find OP.
I hope you can get it sorted without huge expense.
Then you can enjoy your 3 litres of Z4 fun, and maybe post a photo of it on here!

Won't that invalidate your insurance if it gets nicked ? (Genuine question)
Really sorry for you OP.
I suppose some consolation is that the scum that do that kind of thing are always life's losers and will come out of this much worse than you.

Some w##ker cut through my roof
Cheers for the replys guys, this has got to be 3 years ago it happened, it annoyed me so much that I just stuck the car away and forgot about it. But with summer round the corner I've finally had a go at sorting it out myself, I've posted a new thread regarding my new problem with my replacement roof lol.
Hope everyone is well!
