I did that a week or two back, partly for the cleaner look and partly because they weren't on straight anyway (and the near side was an inch higher on the body than the drivers side!) Unluckily for me the paintwork was damaged under one of the badges.

I think mine were level (I didn’t check to be honest, I just dived into removing them and polishing the wings).Fred Smith wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 3:35 pmI did that a week or two back, partly for the cleaner look and partly because they weren't on straight anyway (and the near side was an inch higher on the body than the drivers side!) Annoying that you found some paint damage and under the badges - I found similar with my wife’s 330i when I debadged that. After removing them I had to polish the boot lid and refit the badges.

Mine has a bit of missing pain by the rear side window, plus some touched up paint to both rear arches and a small ding that has broken the paint anyway... just means another little job for myself or a bodywork shop (depending on which route I end up going down).STC_Zed wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 5:53 pm I think mine were level (I didn’t check to be honest, I just dived into removing them and polishing the wings).

Changed the bulbs for the angel eyes as the outer ones weren't really lighting up. Went with the Novsight led's. I'm happy with the results.

Changed complete tie rod assemblies as I was unable to get an alignment due to old ones being seized. 50s kid e46 video on YouTube was a huge help, pretty straightforward 2 hour job.

Fitted a GruppeM intake to my Alpina. All I can say is holy cr*p this thing sounds good! Can't wait to take the car out of the city and absolutely nail the throttle.
