E85 Alloy Wheels (x4) with Tyres

Post by PedroSouth » Tue May 07, 2024 4:17 pm

Hi All

I am after another set of 4 x 18" (potentially I would also consider 17") OEM wheels for my E85, would need to have matching tyres with useable tread.

Anything considered if within reasonable price, condition and distance (I am in Hampshire). I am looking for a relatively cheap set so not expecting mint condition etc.

Let me know if you have anything.

Thanks
Pete

I am not sure if 17-inch wheels will clear the calipers. Facebook group where you can buy some 120 PCD alloys https://www.facebook.com/groups/1538352996386782

If your car has OE size brakes any BMW 17s should clear the front brakes on an E85, other than the M and possibly Alpina models.

I had a set of E89 Style 290 17" wheels I was running on my 3 Series and it took me 3 attempts to sell them for just £160 with usable run-flats. :(

The bonus with E89 wheels is they have different offsets so sit much further out in the arches on an E85.
Coupes because stunning!

Thanks both. From searching the forum I was also under the impression 17" do go over the brakes ok as 3.0SI SE had 17s as standard (my pre LCI is running 325mm upgrade on the front).

I have a 325mm (3.0Si) upgrade on my 3.0i roadster and the stock 17” 103s fit just fine.

Welcome to have a look if you’re local (then I can tempt you with the 18” Alpinas I have for sale 8) )

I'd def consider some 103s, the Alpinas look good but abit overkill for what I need. I'm also northernish Hampshire not far from Basingstoke.
