Some classic car footage (the Charger was so much faster than the Mustang they had to hold back to keep it competitive) - Link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYEA3MTtHy4 - embedded not showing for me

The place next door to where i work rebuild all older American muscle cars, and old collectible American cars. Seen a lot of Mustangs and a challenger a while ago, not a charger yet though! One of my all time favorite cars, but the Mustang has to be the one for me!
Get some pics up so we can drool

Ok ok... I'll try and get a pic this weekend lol. You pushy sods.
It's kept in a car storage place that's 20mins away at present, as they have some hydraulic ramps and engine/axle cranes, and they lock up at 6pm
Before I can use it (more than the blast up the road when it turned up ) I need to take most of it's mechanical parts apart and replace the seals, grease, fluids etc, as well as replace or repair the damaged bits, as although the top end was replaced recently, it was the only major thing done to it since being imported from Nevada a year ago, where it lived in a barn for 15 years hardly touched.
The last thing I want is for the tranny to go, as they appear to be an arse to source.
The intention is to rebuild it all over the next 6-8 months and have it ready for next summer.

You'll have to have a look at the back page of Evo magazine next time you're in Tesco, there's an interview with Jonny Smith (of Fifth Gear fame) and his '68 Charger.
If you get stuck, I can point you to a couple of bars in Manchester.sk93 wrote:The last thing I want is for the tranny to go, as they appear to be an arse to source.

Lol siftah... I won't even ask why you know of such places
I shall go hunt an evo copy tomorrow then methinks.
Thanks for the break warning - I was surprised how spongy they felt, but thought rebuilding them would resolve it. Maybe not then lol.
Corner-wise, totally aware it's out turned by a frigate, but these are all about off-the-lights brutality... Which is exactly what appealed to me; mentally overpowered cars that are entirely useless at everything but dragging down the straights
(and maybe a mental amount of oversteer at the smallest hint of a bend)

You have to understand "I was a teenager during the Muscle Car heydays over here", my fave was the Boss 351 Mustang. It came out when I was in grade 9 (Around 13 or 14 yrs old)
