My 23i M Sport has just finished its first 3,000 miles today. The most outside tread depth on both 18" tyres are only 5mm, and other 3 treads are 6.5mm deep. The front tyres have the same depth across all 4 treads (7mm). Both all 4 tyres have the same worn out patterns though.
I remember my old E85 had the same size of wheels and Bridgestone RFT tyres, and it also had faster worn out on the outside tread of rear tyres. Does that mean that the rear tyre wear pattern is normal for all Zed (old, new and M)? How many miles do I expect to get from Bridgestone RFT tyres?
IIRC Breaker had his rear tyres changed after just 12,000 miles (probably due to his heavy right foot and the twin-turbo engine?).

Re: Rear Tyres Wear
I replaced my tyres when I changed to the 313 rims with about 16,000 miles on them, they seemed to wear pretty even across the tire, but the rear tyres were severely worn and were crap in the rain, so I can't say your wear is normal, but I did get the rear wheels aligned when I got the car and the settings were a bit out, mostly the rear camber on the left side.

Re: Rear Tyres Wear
If anything, it should be the INSIDE edge wearing more due to BMW's tendancy to have 2-3Degrees of negative camber on the rear!?
