John Clark can stick it! I've gone with Harry Fairbairn for £175 + £69 for the brake fluid.

Well i eventually got John Clark down to reasonable cash. Car is running really well now! Seems smoother, and 15.5k till Insp 2! :)

They are also replacing under warranty:

The Gear Knob (The light bit isn't working)
The left hand speaker as it buzzes when on the phone
The Aerial Amp, there are two as it crackles!

They replaced the bulb in the glovebox, the plastic caps on the strutbrace and reprogrammed my one touch window...Had to pay for that stuff tho!

I was over a barrel tbh! it would be over 100 in fuel to get to glasgow and back so a pointless exercise.

So my service indicator was showing 6500 miles to inspection 1 , two years since last service so put car into dealer for oil change service . This was duly carried out but indicator reset and now shows 15500 miles to oil service..... which is wrong .

Queried with dealer .... cock up and apparently no way to correct matters to show 6500 to inspection 1 .

Suggestions??

get them to cycle through oil, inspec2 to oil again - or do it yourself (google it) so that you are counting down again to inspection 1, when inspec1 is done and reset in 6000 miles ish - all will be well again.

some goodwill and a letter of explanantion probably due

All i can find is how to reset it so that it drops the 1/4inch...I'm talking one touch control...Can you steer me in the right direction to a DIY guide.

Cheers

I'm booking mine in at Hughes Borthers in Derby who have a good reputation and are charing £57 for the oil service with me supplying the oil(£48 through Opie deal a couple of months ago), filter (had one from an old service pack that I will use now non warranty) and microfilter (£12 off Ebay for original part). All in £117.
Z4MC. Interlagos blue. Black nappa. ITG filter. Eibach springs. 19's M3 alloys.
