So I got quoted £2863.03.
The reasons were:
* High area rating - London postcode
* Driver Age - under 30
* Vehicle bhp - 330+
* Low level of No Claim Discount - 1 year
However I'm actually 32, he just got that wrong. I've never had an accident and have been driving for 15 years now. I have been on a garage insurance policy in Ireland so they wont accept that no claims. Think I'm fighting a loosing battle here.

hmm, so he meant under 35. Apparently that's the big cut off point on the Sports Car policies!

There is a non-M version around my neck of the woods, but if it's an M and it's around Southgate, Wichmore Hill, Palmers Green or Enfield it's me!alanhasanicez4m wrote: @markos, so I guess that's you in the black coupe I have spotted a few times in north london!
Let me know if yours is a Roadster/Coupe and colour and I'll look out for you

Ah a single year no claims will always make it hard. It does seem like your circumstances are against, you, it's harder enough when you do tick all the boxes
Strange he said about under 35, they've been insuring me on modified Grp20 cars since I was 26 (well in their previous setup before they split off in the last few years)

Please let us know if you get anywhere with this. It is purely the insurance that is keeping me and a supercharger apart. I've told Admiral about all of my mods, and they always want their pound of flesh...
I do have 11 years no claims and a garage, but I have the odd point or two on my licence too...

Z4MC - heavily fettled for track use
Lotus Exige - sensible daily driver on the mods slippery slope
Westfield SEiW - in hibernation
Modified RS4 Avant - back in Blighty
S2000 GT - gone
