Speling cheker

Post by sp3ctre » Sun Jul 01, 2007 1:07 pm

I have got rid of the "spelling cow" checker I had installed, it interfered with the smilies (boo hisss!). I have integrated an ajax checker into the main posting page, but I am wrestling with it on the quick reply.

Please let me know how you get on with it, and if it causes any problems.

J :D

Mmm, what does it do when you press the spell check link? I presume you have a Mac, or are you using Safari PC version? If it is the mac version I can't really test it as I only have PC's here.

Absolutely nothing at all happens. There's no link on the "Quick Reply", just on the end of the "Post Reply" link.

Indeed it's a Mac - Safari 2.0 is Mac only. 3 (beta) is the first one which was also built for Windows. No idea if it works on Safari 3 - you can't install 3 side by side with 2, so I haven't!

I'll see if I can get more debug info for you, and if you let me know if you make any future changes to the spell checker I'll give it a whirl on my Mac.

Nice one, thanks.. I haven't implemented spell checking on the quick reply (yet!) but I imagine it would have the same issue.

Thanks, and I'll let you know as and when I make changes.
