There is, 2 ways, orig provider normally does it for free after 90 days (Voda do anyway) or you can pay £80 or so and a shop can request the code after 2-3 days

Yes its too complicated might as well buy it new and unlocked me thinks stark?

Yup, or get an early upgrade Nd buy yourself out of your contract. For eg if 12 months left on a £30 month tariff, you pay £360 and they will let you upgrade earlier
